Our family was split on this one. Half my kids thought the BBQ flavor was too strong, and my husband liked it (though he says he would have preferred it with less of a BBQ flavor). Two of my kids and I thought it was fine as is and would like it again. I've had this before with a different recipe where the beans had almost a Buschs Baked BBQ beans flavor, more subtle. This was definately a BBQ bean flavor. I think it's a matter of preference.
I liked this! It's definitely like BBQ baked beans with corn bread on top! I told my kiddos it was chili with cornbread, but from the name I was expecting like BBQ shredded beef with corn bread on the top! I liked that it was something new!
